The Easter weekend is likely to be very busy particularly in National Parks and AONBs. It is very frustrating for farmers with tourism businesses that they can’t open their accommodation to make money from visitors as would normally be the case and many are concerned about sheep worrying. The NFU Countryside Code webpage includes posters, signs and infographics you can share on social media. The NFU and CLA also have done a webinar about your rights in relation to dog worrying and have briefings available to members. - The Lake District National Park is operating its Car Park Status website and this includes information about the Countryside Code. Farming Officer, Andrea Meanwell, recently sent out a press release highlighting the problem of sheep worrying and young dogs and has also tweeted to raise awareness.
