There was a desperate flurry of applications to the capital grant scheme when it opened last week and by last Saturday morning Defra reported that 75% of the budget had been allocated. We have been hearing from farmers who have had problems submitting applications when they included items on parcels that are still in a “live” capital grant agreement – i.e. final claims have not been submitted from previous applications. We would recommend speaking to the Rural Payments Agency and removing these parcels from your application.
