This week we have been hearing from farmers and advisers who have been caught out by the sudden closure of the capital grant scheme last Friday. In some cases, this was because there were problems with parcels of land that were incorrectly shown as not eligible for capital grants because of previous claims. If this applies to you, we recommend raising a query with the RPA using your RPA account and provide as much evidence as possible of how you have tried to submit applications before the closure. You can read Defra’s announcement about the closure here and the next round of funding won’t be available until 2026.
