The Basic Payment Scheme is now open for applications with a deadline of 16th May. It is important you check and update your digital maps as these will not only be used for BPS but also for the Sustainable Farming Incentive when it opens for applications later this year. It is particularly important to check the land cover mapped for each land parcel as it will be used to show the area available for your SFI application. This year we are expecting that SFI standards for Arable/horticultural soils and Improved grassland soils will be available so particularly check whether these codes are correct.
