This is just a reminder that the 1st instalment of the 2024 Basic Payment Scheme payment should be arriving in August/September. This will be 50% of the total and we understand that the second instalment will be paid early – apparently from October onwards rather than in December. This is to help with cash-flow. The Basic Payment Scheme is now de-linked from land and is a “historic” payment based on claims submitted from 2020 to 2022. It is being phased out with the payments in 2024 reduced by at least 50% compared with 2020. For more information click here.
