Farmers in Cumbria can apply for vouchers worth up to £500 towards the cost of farm business advice funded by the Rural England Prosperity Fund. There are 3 forms to complete – the voucher application, a business registration form and a State Aid form which can be downloaded from the following links: W&F advice vouchers or Cumberland Business Grants. Some top tips include:
- Get the consultant to email you a quote for the work involved.
- Google the term “SIC number” to find the one relevant to your business e.g. “Mixed farming” is 01500.
- BPS and Stewardship payments are not relevant to the State Aid declaration. Do include COVID payments or other Government funding from the previous 3 years.
- You need your farm business accounts to enter turnover, wages, profit and depreciation for the GVA calculation in the registration form.
- Each form needs to be signed and emailed together with the quote to info@cumbriagrowthhub.co.uk.
Don’t let the forms put you off applying – we can help if needed.
