INSPIRING EDEN - SUPPORT FOR FARM BUSINESSES

Funding for this programme has now been fully allocated.  We hope that workshops and support for farm businesses will continue to be funded through the Westmorland and Furness Shared Prosperity Fund

 

The Farmer Network, with funding from Eden District Council, is offering a package of farm business support in the Eden District area including:

 

ONE TO ONE FARM BUSINESS ADVICE

This will be tailored to your situation and could be a farm business review; assessment of the farm’s potential for current and future environmental payments; help to identify farm diversification opportunities; support with succession planning and/or retirement options.

 

FUNDING FOR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR FARMERS THROUGH THE TRAINING VOUCHER SCHEME

Training vouchers worth up to a maximum value of £200 are available.

YOUNG FARMER TRAINING BURSARY

Funding has been awarded for training bursaries worth up to £750 for three young farmers. However, please check back for updates in case more funding becomes available.

 

FARMING AMBITION PROGRAMME, BUSINESS SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Two fully funded places on our Farming Ambition Programme - Business Support for Young People for 18- to 30-year-olds who want to progress a farming related business idea.

FUNDING FOR CARBON AUDITS

We have vouchers worth up to £2,500 to help fund the cost of a full carbon audit and soil testing for carbon.  You will need to be prepared to share your data and discuss the results with other farmers at workshops.

WORKSHOPS

Between now and the end of March 2023, we will be organising a series of workshops to help you adapt to the changes to support payments and the rising cost of farm inputs.  Please contact us to go on the mailing list for events and with suggestions for topics.

 

ENERGY EFFICIENCY & RENEWABLES
