DESCRIPTION:The Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust and the Farmer Network have organised a meeting to help farmers understand how to make the best use of existing woodland and creating new areas. This will include a farm walk\, where we will learn about managing woodland throughout its life cycle to boost biodiversity and generating a vital income for the farm business. Speakers to include: \n\n Mike Appleton from YDMT\,\n Phil Lyth who is an Independent Woodland Expert\n Ayse Kaban-Bowers from the Forestry Commission.\n\nPlease ensure you wear clean waterproofs and wellies/suitable footwear for a farm walk and check the weather forecast. DESCRIPTION:Join Sarah Harker from Farm Gate vets who will demonstrate how a range of conditions can be diagnosed through carrying out a post-mortem. \n\n\n\n\nSarah will take us through the techniques used by vets\, and will also demonstrate a quicky and easy (and clean!) method for removing the liver from a carcass to check for liver fluke.
