Diversification workshop

Join us to hear from Elizabeth Hird of Yockenthwaite Farm. As fifth generation hill-sheep farmers, the Hird family started making their own-recipe granola over ten years ago when visitors staying overnight at the farm enjoyed it for breakfast and kept coming back for more. They have since grown their range and continue as a small family business, still happily farming at Yockenthwaite.

Also joining the discussion will be Richard Hall from WDS Accountants who will talk through the tax implications involved in setting up a business to diversify the farm.

Peter Stockton and Mark Williams will also be there to answer questions on planning permission such as building something new, making a major change to your building, or change the use of your building to accommodate your new diversification venture.
