Regulations Service

Any member can receive a Regulation Checklist (Farm Records and Policies) folder that gives details of all the main regulations you need to comply with, in the format of a handy A4 sized ring bound folder. This is free to members while stocks last. We also issue regular updates which are either posted out or available to download from 'Regulation Checklist - Updates' in the Members section of the website.

'Cross Check' is a new service whereby we will come to your farm and check the office paperwork. Many farmers use us to get peace of mind before a cross compliance or Farm Assurance Audit. Members get a significant discount on the fees we have to charge. See the leaflet below for more details.

Grants/Advice

Within the Members section of the website, we issue regular updates showing details of relevant grants and sources of advice, summaries are usually included in the members ’Grassroots Newsletter', which is issued four times a year. In addition we are happy to answer any queries and point people in the right direction. Contact Head Office, Tel. 01768 868615.

We help individuals and groups to apply for grants, including help with business plans. We have a good track record, especially with applications looking to access Rural Development funding from Defra, LEADER, Local Action Groups, Sustainable Development Fund and various charitable trusts.  We charge for this service for individual businesses, but offer some groups a free service to help them apply and manage the grant, although more complex cases may have to be paid for.
