Q. Why was the Farmer Network created?
A. The Farmer Network evolved from a successful project called Rural Futures. When this project finished, the Cumbrian farmers involved, having identified the benefits and potential of group working and networking, could see the importance of continuing, so they formed the Farmer Network.
Q. What are the benefits of becoming a member?

Q. How do I become a member?
A. Click on the ‘New/Renew Membership’ tab.
Q. How much does membership cost?
A. £40 + VAT per year.
Q. Can I pay for membership online or do I have to pay by cheque?
A. You can pay online go to the ‘New/Renew membership’ tab where you can also download a membership form and pay by cheque.
Q. Why does the Farmer Network only cover two regions?
A. We have limited resources and new Network areas take 3 years to develop to a sustainable position. We will respond positively if asked, but we are resource dependant.
Q. Are there any plans to produce any further DVD’S?
A. Not a present. The DVD’s were filmed by a volunteer and we welcome contact from anyone willing to volunteer in this capacity.
Q. How many people work for the Network?
A. There are ten employees, mostly part time. The Farm Coordinators are self-employed on contracts for specific projects/tasks.
Q. How long has the Farmer Network been trading?
A. 5 years.
