SMALL DAIRY FARMER GRANT SCHEME – DON’T MISS THE DEADLINE OF 31ST MAY
This grant is available for farmers who produced less than 1 million litres between 1st April 2015 and 31st March 2016 and who are still in active dairy production. The grant rate per litre will depend on the total number of applicants and so will not be known until after the closing date on 31 May. As well as completing a short application form, you need to send in proof of your milk deliveries to first purchasers during the period 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016. LEADER GRANTS – OUTLINE APPLICATION DEADLINES – 31ST MAY IN CUMBRIA AND 12th JUNE IN THE YORKSHIRE DALES
The three Leader programmes in the Yorkshire Dales and in Cumbria are all now offering farm productivity grants for a limited list of equipment – see http://www.fellsanddales.org.uk/uploads/6/5/2/4/65248101/leader_equipment_for_priority_farm_and_forestry_productivity_v1_1_1.pdf. The Programmes also offer grants for farm diversification, tourism and rural business development all at a grant rate of 40%. The next deadline for outline applications for the Cumbria Leader Programmes is 31st May and the Yorkshire Dales farm productivity grant scheme closes on 12th June.
COUNTRYSIDE STEWARDSHIP MID TIER – ORDER YOUR APPLICATION PACK BY 31ST JULY
The deadline for mid tier applications to Countryside Stewardship is the end of September but you have to order your application pack by 31st July. The Stewardship scheme now incorporates water quality grants which used to be part of the Catchment Sensitive Farming Programme.
